

Permitting
Effective November 29, 2024, the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) Public Act 233, authorizes the MPSC to issue certificates (“Part 8 Certificates”) for the construction of solar energy facilities with nameplate capacities of 50 MW or more (“Qualified Renewable Energy Facility”).
PA 233 of the MPSC governs the process for siting and permitting applicable to the Fiddlehead Solar Facility. It provides for the review of new or modified major solar energy facilities by MPSC.
